APSO works hard to develop and maintain relationships between the association and the Department of Labour. We ensure that any companies that are not registered or who have complaints laid against them (and are not APSO members) are reported to the Department of Labour so that appropriate action can be taken against them.
APSO, via CAPES, also engages with the Department of Labour at NEDLAC and other forums.

The Department of Labour website is a wealth of information and members are advised to utilize this resource when looking for information on any labour legislation and conditions of employment. The site includes various “Basic Guides” which interpret the technicalities of the law and give simple instructions on how to apply the law and ensure compliance.
