All registered Private Employment Agencies must submit annual report to Dept of Labour

Deadline for submission 10 January 2014.


All registered Private Employment Agencies are required to submit their annual report to Department of Labour on or before 10 January each year. This is in line with Government Gazette Employment Services issued 13 June 2013.

This report includes information about the permanent placements made, as well as the individuals placed (by demographic and occupational category), in the calendar year 1 January - 31 December.

Some Department of Labour inspectors have been actively reminding agencies about making these submissions, including pressurising them to divulge detailed information about clients, vacancies and candidates. This is not required under current regulation and APSO has engaged directly with senior officials within the Department of Labour to inform them that this is not acceptable given the sensitivity of this information and your obligation to maintain confidentiality of your clients and candidates.

To assist members, APSO has provided a guideline on how to collate this report as well as a simple Excel spreadsheet template that can be used for quick submission. Full information about who to submit this to, including a request to "cc" APSO is detailed in the Memo. Members who did not receive the original emailed memo including the attached guideline and template are requested to contact Sino Sume 011 615 9417 for them.
