APSO is very proud to continue our active engagement on the global Employment stage

At the recent Confederation of Private Employment Agencies (CIETT) general assembly held in Brussels, APSO successfully maintained the Africa and Near East Representative seat on the world employment board.

This seat has been ably held by Simon Ridge, APSO Vice President, since 1994. On notification of his decision to step down, CIETT was very vocal in their appreciation and extended thanks from the global community for his dedication and commitment to promoting best practice standards, not only in South Africa, but on the continent. APSO would like to also take this opportunity to thank Simon for his great leadership and excellent representation of the organisation over the past decade. His legacy is one that APSO can be very proud to have and is committed to continuing to build upon.

APSO nominated Natalie Singer to replace Simon as the federation's representative and this was unanimously accepted by the CIETT governance structures and members as a whole. Natalie will now participate on the Board and will work closely with CIETT to increase the reach of global best practice standards into Africa.

As one of the most established staffing organisations in the world, APSO is well respected and participates actively in various CIETT initiatives. APSO will continue to work with our colleagues from the other 51 national federations to share best practice, capacitate newly set up organisations, and to find ways to positively profile the staffing industry and the great contribution we make to effective labour markets.
